Presets as placeholders
Use library motions to playtest feel. Replace signature attacks later with custom takes if needed.
Name the emotion
Filter by functional verbs—strafe, emote wave, reload—not vague “cool move.”
Root motion awareness
Check whether a clip expects in-place or translates the root. Mixer mistakes look like foot skating.
Keep a motion bible
Document which clip IDs ship in v0.1 so collaborators do not “improve” mid-sprint.
